More time looking for work.

It's now been 8 weeks since I finished work, and so far there hasn't bene any real prospects. I did take a bit of time for myself early on so I could have a break, and that's been good. Now it's back to the more "serious" job-hunting effots.

So far I've had interviews with two recruitment agencies, and four companies. The agencies were what they always have been before... all talk and no action. Well, no results anyway. The first one sent me for the first job interview, and they did keep me informed, for a bit at least. The place that the job was at kept on stuffing around though. In 4-6 weeks they changed their minds on what they wanted 5 times that I knew of. That's not the smartest thing for them to be doing when they know that they had a deadline of 5 weeks for the current guy doing the job to leave. Problem there was that there were three sections trying to all get the persont hat they wanted, and none of them had the same idea.

Out of the all the jobs that I've gone for, I've had one that I've had one interview for, and three that I've had two interviews for. The only thing that really annoys me is that out of all of those, I've only heard a reply from one of them to let me know what has happened, and that was the one that was the single interview. All of the ones that I've been for two interviews for have completely ignored me after that. I understand that it's hard to get back to everyone that applies, but after two interviews, is it really that hard to send out an email to 3-4 people to say "sorry this time". If a prospective employee did that to them, they'd really get annoyed, but it seems that this lack of communication is the norm for businesses these days.

I'm still looking around, and I know something will come up soon enough. Until then, it's more applications, and more interviews. Hopefully it'll end up with a nice cushy job somewhere doing not a lot for a ridiculously huge amount of money. Well, that's the deam at least.
